The palate is smooth and mellow. Golden syrup and vanilla custard form the core, with gentle oak spice adding warmth. Light tropical fruit floats through the mid-palate, and the overall character is rounded and easy-going. The bourbon cask influence is well-judged — present enough to add complexity but not so dominant as to overpower the rum's own character.
The finish is medium with vanilla, soft oak, and a clean golden sugar close. Unpretentious and satisfying.
