Rum Fire is Hampden Estate stripped back to its most elemental form. Unaged, overproof, and bottled with all the funky, estery character that makes Hampden one of the world's most celebrated distilleries, this is not a polite rum. It is raw, intense, and utterly compelling.
Pot still distilled at Hampden using extended fermentation to develop the high ester count that defines the estate's character, Rum Fire delivers the full aromatic power of Jamaican rum-making. At 63% ABV, the alcohol acts as a carrier for the extraordinary concentration of flavour.
On the nose, expect acetone brightness, tropical fruit explosion, raw sugarcane, glue-like esters, mango, and pineapple. The palate is fierce and fruity with banana, pineapple, raw sugarcane power, and ester-laden intensity. The finish is very long with fruity esters and banana funk.
Essential in a Daiquiri where you want Jamaican funk front and centre. Also makes an extraordinary base for infusions. Not for beginners, but utterly essential for rum enthusiasts.
